In Japan, public toilets do not always provide paper towels or hand dryers, so many people keep their own hand towel tucked away in their bag. This Imabari towel comes from Shikoku, the Japanese region specialising in the production of terry towelling, and features two textures: the terry side is absorbent, whilst the gauze side dries quickly once the towel is folded.
Its square shape fits easily into a schoolbag or handbag, and the small loop allows you to hang it on a hook in the classroom. As for the embroidered sloth, it won’t hold it against you if you linger in bed on a Sunday. A Japanese towel that’s useful every day, and an easy gift for both children and adults.

- Material: 100% cotton, with a gauze side and a terry side made from untwisted yarns

- Care: machine wash in a laundry bag, separately from light-coloured items for the first few washes, using a small amount of fabric softener to preserve the looped texture
