Mold for Making Japanese Makizushi at Home

With this Japanese sushi mold, you can easily make delicious makizushi at home! Makizushi is a roll of vinegar-coated rice wrapped in a sheet of nori seaweed. The filling can vary according to taste: raw fish, vegetables, eggs, etc. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Lightly moisten the mold and fill the base with a layer of rice, covering the sides all the way to the top.
  2. Add your chosen filling to the center of the mold.
  3. Cover with another layer of rice, close the mold with the lid, and press gently to pack the rice.
  4. Unmold your roll onto a sheet of nori seaweed and wrap the seaweed around it.
  5. Cut into 2 cm (0.8 inch) slices with a sharp knife. That’s it!

Enjoy your makizushi with friends or pack them in a bento box for lunch.
