Mold for Making Japanese Makizushi at Home
With this Japanese sushi mold, you can easily make delicious makizushi at home! Makizushi is a roll of vinegar-coated rice wrapped in a sheet of nori seaweed. The filling can vary according to taste: raw fish, vegetables, eggs, etc. Here’s how to use it:
- Lightly moisten the mold and fill the base with a layer of rice, covering the sides all the way to the top.
- Add your chosen filling to the center of the mold.
- Cover with another layer of rice, close the mold with the lid, and press gently to pack the rice.
- Unmold your roll onto a sheet of nori seaweed and wrap the seaweed around it.
- Cut into 2 cm (0.8 inch) slices with a sharp knife. That’s it!
Enjoy your makizushi with friends or pack them in a bento box for lunch.
