These navy blue trousers are covered in a shower of fine, light-coloured lines. This type of pattern is known as ‘kasuri’ in Japan, named after the slightly blurred appearance of the outlines – a deliberate irregularity that gives the fabric its texture and depth. The cut maximises comfort: a fully elasticated waistband with no drawstring or buttons, a straight leg and side pockets. You can slip them on in ten seconds in the morning and forget all about them for the rest of the day – which is exactly what you look for in a successful pair of loungewear trousers.
