The large golden shapes that cut across this happi are stylised clouds, a pattern called kumodori used as a frame for flowers and foliage, which the Japanese consider a sign of happy events to come. This women's happi falls to the knee, its wide sleeves cut into square panels, with red and white peonies, golden bamboo and blue wisteria standing out against a black background. It works as an everyday loungewear jacket, and the contrast of black and gold makes it dressy enough to bring out for a special evening.
Fits women between 155 and 175cm. The model is 163cm.
Note: The sash is looped through the kimono's tab.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To look after your garment, wash it separately the first time at 40°C. Air-drying is best — avoid the tumble dryer. Don't use bleach, to keep the colours intact. Ironing on a medium heat is recommended. The fabric is designed to resist shrinkage, so your piece will last.
