This limited edition of Pocky showcases matcha in two different ways: slightly bitter matcha is incorporated into the biscuit itself, whilst a second matcha is used in the creamy coating. The matcha comes from Uji, south of Kyoto, a region with a history of Japanese tea production dating back to the 13th century. Part of the matcha is slowly stone-ground, a process that generates very little heat and helps preserve the tea’s delicate aromas. The result is a refined snack with an intense matcha flavour and the signature crunch of Pocky.
