The Japanese call these vertical stripes ‘tatejima’, and for centuries they have turned them into an art of subtlety: the finer the stripe, the more the fabric appears plain from a distance, and the more its detail is revealed when viewed up close. This design accentuates this effect with fine, tightly spaced stripes in a light-coloured thread against a deep blue background. Elasticated waist with drawstring adjustment, tapered ankles to adjust the length, and two side pockets deep enough for your personal belongings. These are the trousers you slip on when you get home and keep on until bedtime.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To look after your garment, wash it separately on its first wash at 40°. Use a laundry bag for the spin cycle. Air dry where possible and avoid the tumble dryer. Do not use bleach to preserve the colours. Ironing is recommended at a medium heat. The fabric is designed to resist shrinkage, ensuring your garment has a long life.
