Beneath the armholes, this openwork weave is not merely a decorative feature but the jinbei’s ventilation system, a legacy from the days when this summer evening garment was worn sleeveless. This navy blue men’s style is woven and made in Kurume, Fukuoka, from 100% cotton with a textured weave characteristic of the region. With its cross-over tie fastening, loose three-quarter sleeves and mid-length shorts, you’ll be dressed in ten seconds – and you’ll probably find yourself wearing it all summer long.
