Traditional blue men’s hanten jacket, a Japanese quilted indoor jacket

From a distance, this hanten appears to be a deep, solid blue, and you have to get up close to discover the intricate detail of tiny kikkō-inspired hexagonal patterns covering the entire surface of the fabric. It is this understated design that makes the jacket easy to wear day-to-day, with a contrasting black collar, a matching blue lining and two large patch pockets that fall just below the waist. You simply slip it on over a jumper or T-shirt, fastened with a single knotted tie – no buttons or zip – and enjoy the comfort of a warm jacket, like a duvet, without having to wrap yourself in a blanket or slip into bed
