The Azuma Bukuro is a traditional Japanese bag whose origins date back to the Edo period. Made from a simple piece of tenugui fabric, it folds flat and closes by tying the two ends together. This design combines two indigo patterns: a patchwork of traditional Japanese motifs on one side and asanoha on the other, a six-pointed geometric pattern associated with growth and vitality.
