Compact Kokuyo Harinacs Japanese staple-free stapler, for stacks of 5 sheets, salmon pink
This Japanese staple-free stapler cuts an arrow-shaped tab into the stack of sheets, then folds it back into the slit it has just created. Five sheets are held together without a single metal part: nothing to refill, nothing to remove before recycling the document or putting it through the shredder. A window on the top shows where the cut will be made, allowing you to avoid a line of text, and a guide mark on the edge helps you fasten sheets neatly in the corner. Kokuyo launched the Harinacs range in 2009, reviving a paper-folding technique that had been around for over a century and redesigning the blade so the sheets stay firmly together.
