This kitchen brush is made by the Japanese brand Shimomura Kogyo and is designed for brushing on sauces and fats, whether on a hot plancha or teppanyaki grill or on a dish fresh out of the oven. Its silicone head withstands temperatures up to 200°C (392°F) without warping or losing its bristles, unlike traditional brushes whose bristles eventually shed into your food. The white polypropylene handle is lightweight and easy to grip. The manufacturer advises never leaving it in direct contact with a flame or grill, despite its good heat resistance.
