The three wise monkeys, who see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil (you'll know them from the emojis), were born right here: carved onto the sacred stable of the Tōshō-gū Shrine in the town of Nikkō. This kit recreates the Yōmeimon, the shrine's main gate, complete with visitors and the little monkeys at the foot of the steps. Every pre-cut piece slots neatly into place, no glue or scissors needed. A lovely treat for a fan of Japanese history, or for someone planning their next trip.
