The shidarezakura, or weeping cherry tree, is one of Japan’s most beloved trees, symbolizing fleeting beauty and quiet elegance. Here, small golden sakura blossoms decorate a midnight blue lacquered handle with a wavy shape, reminiscent of slender branches swaying in the wind.
