Kinukaze, or “silk breeze,” is the name of this set, and it perfectly describes the soft matte texture of the chopstick handles. Made from lacquered natural wood, one pair features a gray gradient while the other plays with soft pink tones, both blending into the natural wood grain at the tip.
The clear molded resin chopstick rests are decorated with the uzumaki, or spiral, motif in black and white on one side and red on the other. In Japanese culture, this hypnotic pattern evokes swirling water and continuous movement. With their different lengths, 23 cm and 21 cm, these chopsticks follow the tradition of meoto hashi, or couple’s chopsticks. Presented in a box, they make a refined gift for two Japan lovers.
