Japanese cast-iron teapot with a textured brown and light grey finish featuring a cherry blossom (Sakura) design, with a removable stainless steel strainer – 300 ml

The cherry blossom, or sakura, heralds the arrival of spring in Japan, and shincha, the year’s first harvest of tea, is picked a few weeks later, around 2 May. Cherry blossom motifs are cast in relief across the entire surface of this 300 ml cast iron teapot, which holds enough for two lovely cups. Its stainless steel tea strainer extends deep into the body, deep enough for whole leaves of sencha or hōjicha to unfurl, and you simply remove it when the tea is ready.

Instructions for use and care:
