Alfort is an iconic confection from Bourbon, one of the great names in Japanese cookies since 1924. Each piece combines a small shortbread cookie with a square of molded chocolate in the shape of a sailboat, a characteristic visual signature. This matcha version uses first-pick matcha leaves from Uji, the Kyoto region historically recognized as the capital of Japanese green tea. The resulting matcha chocolate is remarkably intense, with a genuine vegetal bitterness that blends perfectly with the melt-in-the-mouth cookie. A must-have for late afternoon coffee.
