Mino Washi Kikkō Japanese Accordion-Style Goshuin Stamp Book
Every temple and shrine in Japan has its own goshuin: a unique stamp and handwritten calligraphy created for each visitor and preserved in a special book known as a goshuincho. This design features the kikkō pattern, inspired by a turtle shell and regarded as one of Japan’s oldest symbols of longevity and protection. Each panel reveals miniature scenes of clouds, flowers, waves, or graceful cranes, recalling the refined court kimonos of the Heian period. Its accordion-folded pages are made with Mino Washi paper, allowing ink to absorb beautifully without bleeding through.
