Women's kimono jacket celebrates life and death with its Japanese dokuro pattern
These women's kimono jackets are full of symbols and contrasts between life and death, the end and the beginning, good and evil.
The death's head, dokuro in Japanese, seems to disappear gradually under climbing plants, as if nature had taken back its rights. Besides, a bird has built its nest right at the top of the skull and watches over its eggs, triumphing over death. However, a snake approaches and threatens to swallow the eggs, symbols of rebirth. Thus an endless spiral is formed where life and death take turns, creating the balance of our environment.
